Visual Studio 2012 and .NET Framework 4.5 สำหรับ VS 2012 จะทำงานร่วมกับ.NET Framework 4.5 และในเวอร์ชั่น 2012 นี้ได้มีการเปลี่ยน Logo ของ Visual Studio ใหม่ ส่วนฟีเจอร์ใหม่ที่น่าสนใจคือพัฒนาโปรแกรมร่วมกับ .NET for Metro style Apps ที่มาพร้อมกับ Windows 8 ซึ่งทำให้ Visual Studio 2012 มีความแปลกใหม่ น่าตื่นเต้น และน่าใช้กว่าเดิม ส่วนฟีเจอร์อื่น ๆ ที่น่าสนใจเช่นใน ASP.NET MVC 3 , MVC 4และรองรับ HTML5 และ unobtrusive JavaScript in client-side

คลิกเลือก Checkbox ที่ว่า I agree to the License terms and conditions และ Next เพื่อไปยังขั่นตอนถัดไป

เลือก Optional features to Install ให้เลือกทั้งหมดเลยก็ได้ แต่จะต้องมีเนื้อที่เหลือใน HDD ไม่น้อยกว่า 8-9 G จากนั้นให้คลิกที่ Install

โปรแกรมกำลังติดตั้ง ซึ่งจะใช้เวลาประมาณ 1-3 ชม (ให้รอจนกว่าจะดาวน์โหลดและตืดตั้งเสร็จสิ้น)

รอจนกว่าจะติดตั้งเรียบร้อย หลังจากนั้นก็ Restart เครื่องซะ 1 รอบ
